Members are covered for accidents that happen at work. If this has happened to you, your employer may be liable. A case can arise in many circumstances, for example where there is an unsafe system of work, negligence of another employee or insufficient training.
The CWU and its solicitors can also help if you or your family have been injured in a public place, for example in a shop or on a public road or pavement. You and your family are also entitled to legal advice and assistance if you have suffered a road traffic accident.
Diseases can take many years to develop. Symptoms may surface some considerable time after you have been exposed to a harmful substance.
Medical negligence is when someone receives substandard medical treatment and is left with injuries that could have been avoided. This could be due to negligent medical treatment, faulty equipment or medication.
If you are facing the difficult situation of a divorce, separation or other family related issue, legal advice and help is available.
If you are having problems at work, the CWU and its solicitors can advise you on your rights and explain your options.
