7 July 2009
The CWU met with BT Retail on 2 July 2009, to confirm the terms of reference and key points to the way forward on Project Holborn.
The project will consist of five strands as follows:
The CWU has set up teams for each strand and also a Governance Team which will oversee all aspects of the discussions. BT has confirmed that their teams will include a BT Retail IR Manager and Operational lead Managers.
BT stressed that their priority was to open immediate discussions and make progress on the Attendance Strand, although it was agreed that these discussions were interlinked with the Resourcing profile, particularly the off shore piece and the repatriation of jobs from India.
The CWU stressed that the Retail Sourcing Strategy was still an extant agreement and as such the principles contained still remained. The union also expressed the need to open urgent discussions on the issue of Performance Management/Management Style as this was critical to the success of Project Holborn. The starting point for these discussions would be from the Leading the Way booklet.
